Another String Quartet

Here’s another from the string quartet I’ve been listening to. It has some more of that “rush desonance” Allison mentions. Historically, Sam has liked this song, though in a somewhat different version…

This one is REALLY missing the percussion… and they didn’t do the timing right, the pauses were just perfect how they were, these are too fast. Lazy bums not wanting to change time signatures for just one measure.
But seriously… it’s just not right without Neil in there somewhere. Although they did the rest quite well, I’ve tried to play this myself (on guitar) and it’s not easy by any stretch of the imagination…
And the solo. I have no idea what to say about the solo. For translating it to a string instrument I guess it’s good…
This sounds like it should be the score to a modern/avante garde ballet… can you just picture the dancers lcontorting their bodies and then leaping around the stage?
Kristin, think “Dance of the fleas” dance that Michelle and I did with one other gal from our ward (her name escapes me at the moment)
Well, I agree it wouldn’t work for traditional dance – but I can certainly see a modern dance troupe having some fun with it.
