Sin lies only in hurting other people unnecessarily. All other "sins" are invented nonsense. (Hurting yourself is not sinful -- just stupid).

    President Bush

    Jan 19th, 2009 by craig

As Costaki Economopoulos says, President Bush has a “special relationship with the English language”.  In honor of the inauguration this week, I’d like to revisit some of President Bush’s special moments:

“Our enemies are innovative and resourceful and so are we.  They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.”

At a Rose Garden news briefing, “I remember meeting the mother of a child that was abducted by the North Koreans, right here in the oval office.”

“There’s distrust in Washington, I’m surprised frankly at the amount of distrust that exists in this town, and I’m sorry it’s the case and I’ll work hard to try to elevate it.”

“Make no mistake about it, I understand how tough it is, sir, I talk to families who die.”

“I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family.”

“Too many good docs are getting out of the business, too many OBGYN’s aren’t able to practice their love with women all across the country.”

“I am honored to shake the hand of a brave Iraqi citizen, who had his hand cut off by Saddam Hussein.”

Discussing domestic crime, “for every fatal shooting, there were roughly three non fatal shootings, and folks this is unacceptable in America.”

At a white house menorah lighting ceremony, “I couldn’t imagine someone like Osama bin Laden understanding the joy of Hanukkah.”

On a back to work plan after the terrorist attacks, “There’s no doubt in my mind, not one doubt in my mind, that we will fail.”

At a press conference with the Canadian Prime Minister, “border relations between Canada and Mexico have never been better.”

“Rarely is the question asked, is our children learning.”

Discussing the decline of the French economy with Tony Blair, “The problem with the French is that they don’t have a word for entrepreneur.”

These just make me laugh out loud. This really is the only thing I’m going to miss about GeorgeDubya. Thanks for posting these.

Got a good chuckle – The Late night talk shows are going to miss GWB big time.

This is the ONLY thing I’ll miss about Bush – and only for the humor value. I certainly won’t miss this verbal incompetence as a representation of our nations leadership!
