    I don't believe in destiny
Or the guiding hand of fate
    I don't believe in forever
Or love as a mystical state

I don't believe in the stars
    or the planets
    Or angels watching from above
    But I believe there's a
    ghost of a chance
We can find someone to love, and make it last

    Fight Procrastination Day

    Sep 5th, 2007 by craig

No, I am not making this up:

     www.onlineorganizing.com/CalendarHoliday.asp?holiday=30

In honor of Fight Procrastination Day I’m posting the top ten things I tend to prograstinate.  Note, I’m not necessarily going to get after them, just recognize them.

    10. Exersizing

    9. Cleaning out the garage

    8. Writing letters (even the electronic ones)

    7. Going to bed

    6. Getting out of bed

    5. Updating my blog

    4. Getting my hair cut

    3. Cleaning off the top of my dresser

    2. Finishing up this list

Nice list. However, as someone who lives with Craig, I have to reorder this list.

First of all, exercising should not appear on this list. He finds time for it every day and if he can’t, he gets antsy.

#10 – Getting out of bed. For someone who often gets out of bed at 5am to be on conference calls or to catch early morning flights, this would definitely be at the bottom of the list.

#9 – Writing letters. You’ll seldom see them, but you will get one once in a while. I happen to know he sent one to Kathy last night.

#8 – Cleaning out the garage. He puts this off, it’s true. But he will get around to it eventually, and when he does, he does such a nice job that it won’t need it again for quite some time.

#7 – Updating this blog. As you can see, he did get around to it this morning.

#6 – Getting his hair cut. He always gets it cut, its just that he’ll come to me at 10pm and say he absolutely has to have it cut before he gets on a plane the next morning at 6am.

#5 – Calling family. He has good intentions, but really, when was the last time he called you?

#4 – Going to bed. It’s not that he’s not tired, he is. However, Craig always thinks he can stay awake long enough to watch the next episode of Good Eats, but I’m here to tell you he can’t.

#3 – Getting off his stool and putting his guitar away.

#2 – It’s true that he has not finished this list, but its more likely that he’ll get around to finishing the list than he ever will:

#1 – Clean off his dresser. After SIX YEARS of telling me he will get it cleaned off, he finally decided it was “A Shrine” and should be left untouched. I would post a picture of said dresser, but it wouldn’t be pretty, so I’ll spare you. If he ever does clean off that dresser, I’ll post a news flash.

Does his dresser look anything like my desk?

      See, why can’t I have a shrine?

      Ah.
But… Mom won’t let me keep my shrine… she keeps wanting me to desecr- er, clean it.
