Jimmy Fallon – Troll Doll Jingles

    Jul 9th, 2007 by craig

Lately while listening to my satellite radio on the drive between Seattle and the Tri-Cities, I’ve been going to the comedy stations. A couple of times now, I’ve heard a piece by Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy is one of those Saturday Night Live alumni that I always thought was a little better than some of the others on SNL. His talent was certainly evident, but even more telling: he always seemed to be having so much fun!! I believe he’s continued to have fun doing stand up type things and I was excited to find this piece on youtube. Troll Doll

WARNING: You’ll have Troll Doll jingles in your head for the rest of the day! Beware the Alanis Morrisette one!

Well, I certainly think those songs are funny. Although I really would sometimes like to get them out of my head. : )

That really is one of the funniest pieces I’ve heard in a long time. He’s so talented – and clever. And thank you – I’d much rather have Alanis Morrisette’s Troll Doll Jingle in my head that what’s been there most the day… “We had joy we had fun we had seasons in the sun, but the hills that we climed were just seasons out of time…. bumbumbumbummmmmm”

      Thanks for sharing : )

What’s really awful is that I know the words to that song (Seasons in the Sun). They’ve stuck with me for 25 years and it’s been torture. Well, its not been too bad unless someone mentions the name to me. Thanks Allison.

      Second Verse:

Good bye Papa, please pray for me
I was the black sheep of the family
You tried to teach me right from wrong.
Too much wine and too much song,
      Wonder how I get along.
Good bye Papa, it’s hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky…

I could go on (goodbye my friend, good bye Michelle) but that’s just a tasty little sampling of what floats through my head when I hear the words “Seasons in the Sun”. Better go back and listen to Alanis Morrisette stealing troll dolls.

It’s a stupid song. I can’t think of how it possilbly was at the top of the charts. But then, I’m still flabbergasted that “I just called to say I love You” won the 1984 academy award. Monotonous, boring, stupid song. All of the other nominees – “Footloose”, “Ghostbusters” and “Against All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now)” were far more deserving.

      Hi Craig and Kris
Alli told me about your new blog, I love the layout. I have never heard that particular Jimmy F bit, I laughed hard. I also like your quote of the day by Kurt V.
–Michelle (Alli’s friend from the cruise in case you are wondering who the hell this is)

Seasons in the sun… I know that song mainly because it was re-made by some punk band 🙂

But wow- Jimmy Fallon really made me laugh. I had no idea he was so talented! What a cool clip.

Michelle, how could we ever forget who you are?? By the way, I loved “…and God created Fatness”.

Hey great YouTube. Jeff and I got a good laugh. I liked the REM song. We go on YouTube quite often, I will have to put up one of my favorites.

Kristin, I’m very glad to hear you liked that particular blog, not everyone understands the mystical properties of the feline. BTW you did a great job on Craig’s site. I love it.
Feel free to post on my blog, I need readers….

Didn’t think I’d come listen to this again…
I resent that, by the way, I am not growing much. Uh… am I?

      My troll is gone~!
